Watering rhythm

Fiddle leaf fig — every 9 days, room temperature water.
Boston fern — misted twice a week, never soaked.
Pothos — whenever the top inch of soil turns dry.
Snake plant — once a month, less in winter.

Soil mix that worked

Four parts coco coir, two parts perlite, one part worm castings and a handful of pine bark. It drains fast and the ferns stopped sulking after two weeks.

Note to self: repot the monstera before spring, and stop buying pots that have no drainage hole.

Light notes

The east window carries soft morning light until about eleven. Anything that browns at the tips gets moved one meter back, and it usually recovers within a month.
